Bought this for my girlfriend. Had it one week and it no longer would boot.
Even contacted support and they couldn’t solve the issue.
I wish I had not purchased this piece of garbage.
A very expensive paperweight.
After extensive research, I bought this net book. Based purely on the description, it is really good deal. However, a product is only as good as its lowest point. This netbook has been significantly challenged to get connected to the internet on a consistent fashion.
Positives
– Great size
– Great battery life
– ergonomics
Weakness
– Inconsistency of the wireless internet connection.
– Acer support is dreadful.
I have an N Network, with another XP laptop running from the network. When this netbook was connected to the Interent, it worked good. However, the intent would not just work most of the time. (My XP laptop was running next to it fine). The PC’s wireless connection would show it was connected at an excellent signal strength. However, I could not get connected to the Internet. Called Acer help support. They were more concerned about getting to the next phone call, rather then supporting. They told me to re-install the drivers and call them back I have questions. Re-installed the drivers. Did not solve the problem. I am not sure the root cause…Is it the wireless adapter on the PTC, is it Windows 7…Not sure. However, I don’t have confidence that Acer is going to help me resolve it.
didn’t have all the software of the previous purchase of same computer. A little disappointed by that
Works well, only when I click restart it kinda freezes up and I have to do a manual shutdown, but response is pretty fast when opening programs, but I did add an extra gig of memory…
My new Netbook met all me exectations and more; it is easy to use and is so light I can take it anywhere with me
